Fiber Expansion Is Moving Forward
GEA Connect continues to make progress across Greene County, with crews actively connecting customers in areas where fiber infrastructure is already in place. Additional construction crews will soon help accelerate the expansion, allowing GEA to continue bringing fiber internet to more communities.
Our goal is to connect more Greene County residents with fast, dependable internet backed by a local team that lives and works in the community we serve.
Understanding the Fiber Availability Map
As construction progresses, you may notice that your area still appears red on the GEA Connect fiber availability map, even if sign-ups have opened for nearby roads.
Don’t worry! Areas marked red indicate that fiber is coming soon and residents can preregister their interest. GEA will update the applicable project areas to green once all locations within the area are complete and ready for service.
Because construction and service availability can vary from one address to another, we encourage residents to check their specific address rather than relying solely on the color shown on the map.
