At approximately 12:20 a.m. this morning, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) experienced a fault on a transmission feed serving Greeneville Energy Authority (GEA).

The fault caused a large portion of GEA’s electric system to experience a brief power interruption, or “blink.” Power was restored quickly, and our team is continuing to monitor the system.

We are working with TVA to gather additional information about the cause of the transmission fault. We will share more information as it becomes available.

We apologize for any inconvenience this interruption may have caused and appreciate your patience and understanding.
